Welcome to Save the Tamarins

Save the Tamarins is dedicated to the preservation and breeding of cotton top tamarins. Our organization is embarking upon a twenty year plan to breed this endangered species in captivity. It is our desire to establish a breeding colony of approximately twenty pairs. The offspring will be placed in a rewilding program to enable them to develop the skills needed for survival in the wild. Upon successful completion of the program the offspring will be released back into the wild in a suitable habitat - hopefully in northwest Columbia - their native home.
